Retreat
We had a productive day yesterday and it's always good to get away where you are not interrupted to get work completed (well an outline). We have lots of work to do and I guess we'll meet at my house next.
Jan and John have a beautiful home and setting out in the country with a big pond. I'll post some photos I took of the morning fog that was lifting over the soy bean fields. I took at least one of the pond but none of the house. Maybe next time.
Watch this BLOG tomorrow as I'm going to have a CONTEST!! More tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!
Try This!
http://www.supercook.com/ is a new site where you type in ingredients you have on hand and it will spit out a recipe. I think this is so neat that you can do this and don't we all look in the cabinet/fridge and think "What can I make with this?" Now you'll have some help!! Do we not need all the help that we can get? Oh Yes!!!

A couple more photos from Sunday. My blondie had a blue sucker and so I called her "Blue Mouth" and of course they thought that was great.
Today I will go on a retreat with three co-workers and we will talk about where we have been and where we are going. At this meeting we get to "Dream Big" and I can Dream Big so it should be a lot of fun!
I had to read a book before our meeting today and it's one that I would highly recommend to others. We all have dreams and some are Big and others are little. But we should pursue our dreams and this book is very insightful. Have you followed your dream? Leave a comment about one of your dreams. Have a GREAT DAY!!!!

The fountain is from Irwin Gardens, The house is my neighbors behind me and will be on the Historic Tour this week-end. The garden is my neighbors and they do spend a lot of time working in it to make it so nice. The wall hanging in the window is in a show downtown that happens to be owned by my neighbor in this house. I love the colors! He wasn't open as it was very early and I doubt that I would want to spend what the price would be. Always nice to dream and especially since I have no where to even hang it.
I have to go shower as it's Wednesday and my long work day. Lots going on today and tomorrow we'll go to a retreat (my three co-workers and I) to see where we're at and where we want to go. Should be fun!!! ~~~Have a WONDERFUL DAY~~~

What can I do with this fabric??
Today I'm kinda sorta off for at least the daytime but we ended up having an appt. with someone this afternoon and it's important that I be there and I don't mind giving up an hour. My goal is to finish dusting and vaccuming and cut out some check book covers and make more monster dolls for the craft show. I stayed up last night and took care of a lot of the Boo Boo's but there are lots more to do. I guess this will be quick right now so that I can get some things done!! I hope everyone will have a GREAT DAY! Maybe one photo.

Monday Morning
I work today and then I'm off tomorrow and hope to keep working on the items for the craft show. Now I know why people work on their items year around instead of a month and a half before the date. I'm nervous but excited also.
I thought that I would put some more photos up from yesterday as the Irwin Gardens are so beautiful! I live 3 blocks from downtown and I love it! I can walk to so many places and not waste gas. When I drive now I think about where I'm going and try to do a big circle, anyone else finding themselves doing that? Okay some photos:

Thrift Store/Garage Sale Finds
I don't know about you but I love a Bargain!! I think that it would be fun to see others finds and for the next two weeks I'd like to invite everyone to post a comment and photo about a great find. Make sure you send me you info as there will be a prize at the end of two weeks. Here's something that I recently got at the thrift store for $2.00!!!!
October 5th
Today I had my granddaughters and we walked over (1 block) to the Irwin Garden's. This is a beautiful garden and the house is opened from time to time. I've not had a chance to see inside the house but the girl's call the gardens "The Secret Garden" and we visit it frequently. I'll post some photos. The photo on the left shows this rolling fountain and the girls always leave that for last as they say that's the "Grand Finale" and I think they are right.
I have been doing a lot of sewing for the Craft Show coming up and the girls wanted to sew so I let them and we had a great time talking and sewing. I made them each a sewing kit and a thumb pin cushion. I want them to discover their creative side and they get very excited about the things that I'm making for kids.
I'll eventually post some of the things I'm making. Some are goofy but others are cute.
I've gotta clean up as I have to go to work tomorrow. I want to SEW!!!!!
